Two white wines from Southern France

A wine of two halves, the bracing citrus and herb aromas and bready/yeasty character seem promising, but when you come to taste it, it seems to be lacking freshness, offering up bruised green apple flavours with nutty overtones. Hmm… B-

Lovely cocktail of rich pear, just-ripe peach and nectarine fruit with a floral edge, a hint of honey and a fresh, stony spine of acidity to keep it all together. S-
