Errázuriz Estate Pinot Noir 2014, Aconcagua Costa, Chile (£10.25 Majestic)
I like the gentle plummy red berry flavours, and the lush texture, but – like many Chilean wines – the pleasure is dampened by reduction, which leaves a slightly hard finish. Does improve slightly with time, but could have been much better. B-

Ah, this is more like it. Silky red berry, red cherry and plum, both fresh and slightly cooked, with a touch of smoky bacon (from oak). Currently in its fresh and juicy youth, but I suspect this will be even more alluring with 2-3 more years in bottle. B+
