Private Beach Rosé 2017, Vin de France (£9.99 Laithwaites)
Some vague peach and raspberry flavours here but not much else, OK and I’d finish a glass, but overall a bit meh. C-

Château Terrebonne Côtes de Provence Rosé 2017, France (£12.99 Laithwaites)
Manages to be fresher and crisper than the above wine, with perky citrus tinged acidity, but it’s also fuller in both body and flavour, with more abundant peachy red berry flavour, and a sleeker finish. B

Château Sainte Eulalie Minervois Rosé 2017, Languedoc, France (£8.50 The Wine Society)
At 14% alcohol, this isn’t a shy faun of a wine, but it’s still perky and lively, and beyond the light plummy redcurrant and nectarine flesh, there’s also an earthy mineral bite and a long, satisfying finish. S-

Alovini Le Ralle Basilicata Rosato 2017, Italy (£8.95 The Wine Society)
Deep in colour, with quite robust red berry, blackcurrant and cherry flavours, and a generous, spicy finish. Winter rosé, this would be a great Christmas dinner wine. S-
